Six gated phases. One controlled event lifecycle.
From the 10-year asset intervention outlook through to returning verified learning to the next event — every phase closes at a formal gate.
Framework
6 phases · 52 steps · Phase gatedEstablish
Set the long-term intervention outlook, authorise the event and lock the governance before a single job is planned.
Plan
Capture, challenge and validate the scope, build the work packs, the master schedule and the baselines — then freeze it.
Prepare
Turn the approved plan into physical readiness — materials, people, work fronts, permits and a hard go/no-go decision.
Execute
Shut down safely, release work fronts, run the schedule shift by shift and control emergent work without losing the plan.
Complete
Verify commissioning readiness, energise, test, start up, hand back to Operations and close the record properly.
Improve
Consolidate performance, review honestly, verify the benefits and return the learning to the next event before the team disperses.
Establish → Plan → Prepare → Execute → Complete → Improve → Establish
Work may proceed to the next phase only when the accountable authority accepts the required outputs, outstanding conditions and residual risks.
